20 Oct It’s all about the applications
This is Part 2 of a guest blog post by Jen Singer, COO of Teli. Part 1 of the blog post can be found here.
The shift to CPaaS is accelerating, you only have to look at some of the players in this market today, the trend is undeniable. As we look at the broader market, which includes all kinds of services: UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service), CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) and CPaaS, it is hard to view them in the same category.
The reality of the market shift is accelerating. Customers are realizing that UCaaS and CCaaS can both be addressed by the larger category of CPaaS! The real difference is in how the application is viewed. Almost any communications solution can be addressed by CPaaS, it becomes the underlying structure/platform that applications like UCaaS and CCaaS can be delivered upon.
These are the larger macro categories in today’s communications world, by segmenting CPaaS into Programmable Voice and Programmable SMS, sub categories of applications that are critical to today’s enterprise customers start to emerge. Such as 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) for security, number masking for personal cellphone use in a company environment, business messaging (SMS enable the enterprise) are just a few examples.
Talk to us about some of the examples we have created for customers and partners, the possibilities are limited only by imagination.
